Express Yourself Writers' Club for Adults

Have you recently taken up writing as a hobby or have been writing for years? Enjoy journaling? Like writing poetry or short stories? Working on a novel? Play or screenplay? Would you like a place to share what you’ve written or are currently writing? Let’s meet to share and discuss what’s on your paper and on your mind. For the March 9 meeting, Express Yourself Writers will feature a guest speaker. Kyle Arivett-White has published 14 short stories in the science fiction, fantasy, and horror genres. He has also published several nonfiction articles in Writer's Digest, The Writer, and Antiques and Collecting magazine. He is an active member of the Keller Writers Association and the Writers League of Texas. Mr. Arivett-White will present "Scams & Scoundrels: How Writers Can Protect Themselves" on scams that specifically target writers. This presentation is free and open the public.

Needle Felting for Beginners

Join us for a fun stress-relieving activity - Needle Felting. Make a wool felt art piece that can be turned into a brooch, hair clip, applique, or coaster using a cookie cutter, wool, and felting needles. Felting needles, wool, felting pads, wool felt squares for coasters, and cookie cutters provided, but please feel free to bring your own supplies or project! Grapevine Library card in good standing, 18+ only please - sharp and barbed needles.
