[ARCHIVED] Victim Services Advocate

Makayla Moore portrait

The Grapevine Police Department is proud to formally introduce Victim Services Advocate Makayla Moore to the community.

The Victim Services Advocate position is new this year, and something the Department has wanted for a long time. Ms. Moore’s entire focus is on helping victims of crime or trauma. She is the bridge between the criminal process and the services a person might need to move forward.

Grapevine Police wants everyone to be aware of the help she can offer, so that anyone in need of support has a way to find resources. Makayla can assist with: crisis intervention, crime victim’s compensation application assistance, case management, follow up with cases, referrals and resources, information on legal rights and protections, assistance with filing for an emergency protective order or protective order, assistance with family planning, emotion support, assistance with Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE), victim advocacy, and guidance in the criminal justice process.

Anyone wanting more information can call our Victim Advocate Number at: 817.410.3491.

You can watch a video featuring Makayla and her passion to help people here.
