It is no secret that the jobs of Grapevine Police personnel are easier, and the entire police department is better, because of the invaluable work of our Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS.) These volunteers dedicate their time, energy, and knowledge to help us provide the type of service our Grapevine citizens deserve.
On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, VIPS held their annual Awards Banquet. The event allows the city and police department a chance to say ‘thank you’ for the work of our VIPS and recognize VIPS who go above and beyond in their service to us.
Councilwoman Sharron Spencer served as the guest speaker, and joined Chief Salame and Chief Hamlin to present the awards. Chaplain Mark Massey gave the Invocation. Congratulations to all of the award recipients, and a very special thank you to every member of VIPS.
