During the week of October 8, 2023, Grapevine Police conducted additional patrols around a gas station where people had complained about narcotics use. Officers performed multiple checks in the area. During one of the extra patrols, officers discovered a man with fentanyl, meth and other items typically used in illegal drug transactions.
This arrest was possible in part because of the Grapevine community members who remained vigilante and reported crime when they saw it happen. The Drug Enforcement Agency uses photos to demonstrate a lethal dose of fentanyl which can be found in counterfeit pain pills, similar to the ones Grapevine Police officers discovered during the arrest.
One pill can kill. Grapevine Police are committed to stopping the sale of illegal drugs in Grapevine, and appreciate the community's help as officers work to protect the lives of everyone in the community.
