There’s no percussion soloist like Mark Shelton! The one-man concert can include performances on marimba, hammered dulcimer, handpan, bodhran, bones, cajon, and electronic percussion. Original compositions, arrangements, and improvisations draw from his experiences in classical, jazz, folk, and popular music. The high energy performances are balanced with a good dose of anecdotes from Mark’s rural West Tennessee roots and his years as a freelance musician. Use your creativity, critical thinking, and maker skills to craft something unique using only the random art and craft supplies provided on the Art Cart that will be out in the Children's Dept. on Saturdays in January. Look for some wintery weather art challenges this month! You may take your art home or leave it with us to display on the Art Wall.
