City Offices & Facility Closures & Trash Collection 
In observance of the Christmas holiday and New Year’s Day, the Grapevine Public Library will close at 5 pm on Tuesday, December 23. All City offices and facilities, The REC, and the library will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, Thursday, December 25, and Thursday, January 1. All essential services will operate normally.  

Trash and recyclables will not be collected on December 25, Christmas Day. Trash and recyclables collection will shift from Thursday to Friday, and those on a Thursday schedule will shift to Friday, and Friday to Saturday. The trash and recyclables collection will be conducted in the same manner New Year’s week. Please plan accordingly while crews collect your items the day after your normally scheduled collection day.   

Christmas on Main Street — Closures to Vehicular Traffic
To enhance pedestrian safety throughout Main Street related to the Christmas Capital of Texas® festivities, Historic Main Street will be closed to regular vehicular traffic from the intersection of Main Street at Northwest Highway to the intersection of Main Street at Dallas Road through the upcoming weekend.   

Closure Schedule: 
• Friday, December 19 | Main Street will close at 6 am 
• Monday, December 22 | Main Street will reopen at 6 am 
• Friday, December 26 | Main Street will close at 6 am 
• Monday, December 29 | Main Street will reopen at 6 am

Brett Robert's Wacky Wonderland – Friday, December 19 
Explore Brett Robert’s Wacky Wonderland. Meet a wacky gingerbread man and a sneezing snowman in this show full of crazy characters and magic that will keep everyone laughing out loud.

Pop-up Holiday Gift Wrapping Station – Monday, December 22 & Tuesday, December 23 - FREE
Join us for last-minute holiday gift wrapping. While supplies last, a self-serve holiday gift wrapping station will be available in the Library's Business Center December 22 & 23. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Christmas Cafe for Teens – Monday, December 22 
The Christmas Café will offer hot chocolate, Italian sodas, puzzles, coloring, and even some Uno to play while listening to Christmas music. This program is for middle and high school ages.

Christmas Fun at Grapevine Animal Services - through Tuesday, December 23
Community members of all ages are invited to visit Grapevine Animal Services and enjoy an open hot cocoa and coffee bar while decorating ornaments to adorn our Christmas tree. Our furry friends’ Christmas lists include treats, towels, toys, and blankets.

Classic Christmas Cartoons and Crafts – Tuesday, December 2 – Tuesday, December 23  
Children will enjoy Christmas-themed cartoons and crafts all month long. Classics like A Charlie Brown Christmas, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas, and many more will be shown throughout the month. The Christmas crafts include ornaments, snowman crafts, reindeer crafts, picture frame magnets, and more. The children’s ticket includes a craft activity, a small popcorn, and a beverage (juice box or bottled water). The adult’s ticket includes a beverage (juice box or bottled water). Whether you’re into crafting or looking for a fun way to get festive, you'll leave with a shimmering ornament that you can hang on your tree or give as a last-minute gift. This program is for middle and high school ages.

Grapevine Christmas Market – Friday, November 28 – Tuesday, December 30    
Shop locally and regionally sourced jewelry, wood turnings, produce, baked goods, local cheese, nuts, gift baskets, and more at this open-air European-style market. A Handmade Christmas at Nash Farm – through December 30
Join Nash Farmhands by the wood-burning stove to bake cookies in the Historic Nash Farm Kitchen, and through Sunday, December 14, handprint your own Christmas cards, just in time to send to loved ones. Tickets are available at GrapevineTexasUSA.com.

Ice Skating at Peace Plaza Ice Rink - through Tuesday, January 6  
‘Tis the season to be in the Christmas Capital of Texas®. Experience the Peace Plaza Ice Rink, presented by Baylor Scott & White - Grapevine, and glide across the ice on this Texas sized 4,500-square-foot outdoor ice-skating rink on Historic Main Street. All skate sessions are one-hour with 15-minute breaks (between sessions) for exiting and entering skaters.

Christmas is a wonderful time of year; the sights, the sounds and the smells make it easy to get swept away in the memories of it all. Grapevine's Hometown Christmas exhibit will have plenty of picture-perfect moments while becoming a holiday must, that will delight the child in all of us.
