Seniors and caregivers are invited to take part in the 2025 Empowering Seniors Expo. Sunset Live! at The Botanical Gardens – Friday, October 3 & Saturday, October 4 - FREE General Admission | VIP Tickets available for purchase 
Join the Grapevine Parks and Recreation team for Sunset Live! at the Botanical Gardens, 411 Ball Street on Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4. Enjoy a live music journey down memory lane with classics featuring your favorite genres each night. Bring the family or a date, and your picnic blanket or chairs for an evening under the stars. Browse the vibrant artisan market while children are invited to enjoy the (complimentary) Kidz Zone filled with fun activities for their age groups. Food, beer, and wine will be available for purchase (ages 21 and older). The Bessie Mitchell House (located within the Botanical Gardens) will offer light fare (appetizers), two beverage tickets per ticket holder, and early access to the gardens - for VIP ticket holders. VIP tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door. Doors open at 5:30 pm for those with VIP tickets and at 6 pm for general admission access. Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant – Apply Through October 7  
The Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant provides funding for litter prevention, waste reduction, and/or beautification projects. Your school, business, or organization may receive up to $5,000 to assist with your project. Examples of previous projects include the purchase of water bottle filling stations, trash carts, and landscape improvements. Applications will be accepted through October 3 for the Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant program, sponsored by Sam Pack’s Five Star Subaru-Grapevine. Oktoberfest Craft Brew Train at Grapevine Vintage Railroad – Friday, October 3
Raise your stein and climb aboard the Oktoberfest Craft Brew Train, a craft brew tasting event rolling through Grapevine. Enjoy bold, German-themed brews that complement the flavors of the season. This 21 and older experience combines the lively spirit of a traditional beer fest with the unique setting of a historic railroad adventure. Before boarding, authentic buffet-style German light snacks will be served on the platform between 6:45 and 7:45 pm. A pretzel and dessert box will also be served on board. Manhattan Short 2025 Oscar Qualifying Run – Saturday, October 4
Film lovers will unite and judge the work of the next generation of filmmakers from around the world during the 28th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival. MANHATTAN SHORT is the only film festival of its kind. The final selections screen simultaneously across the world during a one-week period, where attendees vote for Best Film and Best Actor awards at each participating venue. Harvest Moon Supper – Saturday, October 4 
Throughout history, farmers and crop growers would take to the fields in the fall to bask in the abundance of bright moonlight and harvest their summer-grown crops. For three nights, the moon would rise and illuminate fields for the workers.  
To celebrate this time-honored tradition, the moon will illuminate this lovely dinner held in the pasture of Nash Farm. Planes & Trains Guided Tour – Saturday Mornings 
Grapevine’s Planes & Trains guided tour treats visitors to a tour of Grapevine Main Station and Observation Tower, a one-hour excursion aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, and a stop at Founders’ Plaza Airport Observation area. Beginning at the Grapevine Visitor Information Center, participants will be guided through Grapevine Main Station to the top of the Observation Tower to watch airplanes take off and land while learning about the history of DFW International Airport. This is followed by a guided stroll through the 1888 Cotton Belt Train Depot and a one-hour excursion on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. From there, participants will take a chartered ride on the Grapevine Visitors Shuttle through Historic Main Street to Founders’ Plaza Airport Observation Area.
