Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant – Apply Through October 7  
The Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant provides funding for litter prevention, waste reduction, and/or beautification projects. Your school, business, or organization may receive up to $5,000 to assist with your project. Examples of previous projects include the purchase of water bottle filling stations, trash carts, and landscape improvements. Applications will be accepted through October 3 for the Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant program, sponsored by Sam Pack’s Five Star Subaru-Grapevine. Sunset Live! at The Botanical Gardens – Friday, October 3 & Saturday, October 4 - FREE General Admission | VIP Tickets available for purchase 
Join the Grapevine Parks and Recreation team for Sunset Live! at the Botanical Gardens, 411 Ball Street on Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4. Enjoy a live music journey down memory lane with classics featuring your favorite genres each night. Bring the family or a date, and your picnic blanket or chairs for an evening under the stars. Browse the vibrant artisan market while children are invited to enjoy the (complimentary) Kidz Zone filled with fun activities for their age groups. Food, beer, and wine will be available for purchase (ages 21 and older). The Bessie Mitchell House (located within the Botanical Gardens) will offer light fare (appetizers), two beverage tickets per ticket holder, and early access to the gardens - for VIP ticket holders. VIP tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door. Doors open at 5:30 pm for those with VIP tickets and at 6 pm for general admission access. Harvest Moon Supper – Saturday, October 4 
Throughout history, farmers and crop growers would take to the fields in the fall to bask in the abundance of bright moonlight and harvest their summer-grown crops. For three nights, the moon would rise and illuminate fields for the workers.  
To celebrate this time-honored tradition, the moon will illuminate this lovely dinner held in the pasture of Nash Farm. The select menu will reflect historic cuisine enjoyed in times past with a modern flair. Enjoy a night out under the moon with friends, family, and wine, making this a perfect community evening to reflect on Grapevine's historic past. Planes & Trains Guided Tour – Saturday Mornings 
Grapevine’s Planes & Trains guided tour treats visitors to a tour of Grapevine Main Station and Observation Tower, a one-hour excursion aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, and a stop at Founders’ Plaza Airport Observation area. Beginning at the Grapevine Visitor Information Center, participants will be guided through Grapevine Main Station to the top of the Observation Tower to watch airplanes take off and land while learning about the history of DFW International Airport. This is followed by a guided stroll through the 1888 Cotton Belt Train Depot and a one-hour excursion on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. From there, participants will take a chartered ride on the Grapevine Visitors Shuttle through Historic Main Street to Founders’ Plaza Airport Observation Area. Tickets are available at GrapevineTicketLine.com.

The Grapevine Botanical Gardens Explorer App is more informative, and full of surprises. Whether you are a plant enthusiast or just looking for a peaceful stroll, this app has you covered. Tap any plant to discover its story and find hidden gems like Julie’s Garden. The app also helps you locate restrooms, benches, and exits.  
 

Swimming Lessons at The REC 
Make a splash with swimming lessons September through November at The REC Aquatic Center. We’re offering group and private lessons for all skill levels. Whether you are a beginner learning the basics or an advanced swimmer looking to perfect your technique. Our certified instructors are here to guide every step of the way. Therapeutic Creative Expression for Adults with Special Needs – through December 18
Join Grapevine Parks and Recreation for engaging and inclusive art classes designed for adults with special needs. Each session offers a supportive space to explore art, build confidence, and connect with others. We are offering something new each week for participants to try in a warm, social setting through this adaptive art program. All materials will be provided. Park Ambassador Volunteer Program
Our parks are enjoyed by thousands of guests all year long. Park Ambassadors play a crucial role in enhancing the visitor experience, boosting environmental education, and promoting the “Litter Ends with Us” campaign. We are looking for volunteers to share their appreciation for the natural environment with our visitors at Oak Grove Park. Volunteers help create a great visitor experience while promoting environmental education. Training, materials, and equipment will be provided. Registration is open at GoGrapevine.com.
