IMPORTANT NOTICE: For those with MONDAY/THURSDAY Trash Pick-Up - Your Brush/Bulk Waste & Clean Brush Collection is 
MOVING to TUESDAYS 
If your trash is collected on Mondays and Thursdays, your Brush, Bulk Waste, and Clean Brush collection will be shifting to Tuesdays beginning September 2, which will be a CLEAN BRUSH (green waste) collection day. 

• The 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month will be Clean Brush collection. 
• The 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month will be Brush/Bulk Waste collection. 
• Your Monday and Thursday trash and recycling collection will not change. 
• Residents with a different trash collection schedule will not be affected by these changes.

911 Remembrance Ceremony
The City of Grapevine will host its annual 9/11 Day of Remembrance Ceremony on Thursday, September 11 beginning at 7:40 am at 1000 Texan Trail. This remembrance ceremony will be live streamed on the City of Grapevine’s Facebook platform at on.fb.me/1v7MV9f beginning at 7:30 am.  Parking may be limited.  For those unable to attend, we invite you to join us virtually as we reflect and remember those who perished on this date 24 years ago.  

Fairway Drive Improvements
Roadway improvements along Fairway Drive are progressing smoothly and remain ahead of schedule. Weather permitting, this section of the project is expected to reopen no later than the spring. Once complete, these improvements will improve traffic flow and will provide a safer, more efficient roadway for everyone who travels through the area. 

Grapevine Botanical Gardens Explorer App - NEW 
The Grapevine Botanical Gardens Explorer App is more informative, and full of surprises. Whether you are a plant enthusiast or just looking for a peaceful stroll, this app has you covered. Tap any plant to discover its story and find hidden gems like Julie’s Garden. The app also helps you locate restrooms, benches, and exits.  

Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant – September 2 – October 7 
The Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant provides funding for litter prevention, waste reduction, and/or beautification projects. Your school, business, or organization may receive up to $5,000 to assist with your project. Examples of previous projects include the purchase of water bottle filling stations, trash carts, and landscape improvements. Applications will be accepted through October 3 for the Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant program, sponsored by Sam Pack’s Five Star Subaru-Grapevine. Carpenters Legacy Tribute Show – Friday, August 29 & Saturday, August 30                                                          
Direct from Las Vegas, Carpenters Legacy is the definitive show celebrating the music and legacy of the famed brother-sister duo. Planes & Trains Guided Tour – Saturday Mornings 
Grapevine’s Planes & Trains guided tour treats visitors to a tour of Grapevine Main Station and Observation Tower, a one-hour excursion aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, and a stop at Founders’ Plaza Airport Observation area. Beginning at the Grapevine Visitor Information Center, participants will be guided through Grapevine Main Station to the top of the Observation Tower to watch airplanes take off and land while learning about the history of DFW International Airport. This is followed by a guided stroll through the 1888 Cotton Belt Train Depot and a one-hour excursion on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. From there, participants will take a chartered ride on the Grapevine Visitors Shuttle through Historic Main Street to Founders’ Plaza Airport Observation Area. All Tracks Lead to Grapevine: A Dinosaur Experience – through Sunday, August 31
Calling all dino enthusiasts! Join us as Grapevine transforms into a prehistoric paradise this Summer. "All Tracks Lead to Grapevine", features interactive and educational exhibits at the Tower Gallery, Grapevine Vintage Railroad's "Dinos on the Tracks" and soaring through time at the Observation Tower and at the Grapevine Public Library. The Historic Palace Theatre is getting in on the fun with dinosaur-themed movies on Thursdays throughout the summer. Classic Cartoons & Crafts – Tuesday, September 2  
Your children are invited to make a fun craft while watching Scooby Doo. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Intro to Archery
Take aim and explore the dynamic sport of archery through various challenges, games, and activities. This introductory course will turn a young beginner archer into a seasoned one. Intro to Fly Fishing – September 8 - 29
This introductory course will take the most novice fishing enthusiast and turn them into a seasoned fly fisherman. Introduction to Fly Fishing will take you through the basics of equipment, forward casting, and back casting with ample hands-on experience with a veteran fly-fishing instructor. Join the Grapevine Parks and Recreation team for Sunset Live! at the Botanical Gardens, 411 Ball Street on Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4. Enjoy a live music journey down memory lane with classics featuring your favorite genres each night. Bring the family or a date, and your picnic blanket or chairs for an evening under the stars. Browse the vibrant artisan market while children are invited to enjoy the (complimentary) Kidz Zone filled with fun activities for their age groups. Food, beer, and wine will be available for purchase (ages 21 and older). The Bessie Mitchell House (located within the Botanical Gardens) will offer light fare (appetizers), two beverage tickets per ticket holder, and early access to the gardens for VIP ticket holders.
