Bulk, Brush & Yard Waste Reminders 

Clean Brush & Yard Waste – Collected on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays  
Clean Brush consists of limbs, large branches, and other trimmings too large for disposable containers. Yard waste are grass clippings, leaves, tree trimmings, small branches, and/or other organic material suitable for mulching or composting. Place the brush in large piles behind the curb. Place yard waste in PAPER bags (as shown below) or in a reusable trash can-style plastic container (free of any trash or refuse). Plastic trash bags filled with green waste will not be collected on green waste collection days. Clean brush and/or yard waste must be placed by the curb by 7am on collection days. Brush and Bulky Waste – Collected on the 2nd, 4th & 5th Wednesdays   
Bulky Waste consists of any large items to be discarded (examples listed below) weighing over fifty pounds. Brush is any brush material that will be disposed of in the landfill. Brush and bulky waste have no value as a commodity and are disposed of in the Arlington Landfill. Examples are appliances, brush piles, barbecue grills, large tree branches, carpeting, bagged leaves, fencing, water heaters, furniture, toilets, and mattresses. Set brush and bulky waste out no later than 7 am on collection days. Do not place items in front of parked cars, near fences, trees, mailboxes, or on top of water meters. Registration for Spring and Summer swim lessons is open to residents and non-residents. We have availability for kids of all ages and abilities. Planes & Trains Guided Tour - Sunday, February 23 
Grapevine’s Planes & Trains Guided Tour treats visitors to a tour of Grapevine Main Station and Observation Tower, a one-hour excursion aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, and a stop at Founders’ Plaza Airport observation area. Beginning at the Grapevine Visitor Information Center, participants will be guided through Grapevine Main Station to the top of the observation tower to watch airplanes take off and land while learning about the history of DFW International Airport. This is followed by a guided stroll through the 1888 Cotton Belt Train Depot and a one-hour excursion on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad—where an old-fashioned train robbery is rumored to take place. From there, participants will take a chartered ride on the Grapevine Visitors Shuttle through Historic Main Street to the Founders’ Plaza Airport observation area, where attendees will be able to watch aircraft from around the world take off and land. Visitors may even be able to hear dialogue between pilots and the control tower. Tickets are available at GrapevineTicketLine.com.

Classic Cartoons & Crafts – Tuesday, March 4 
Your children are invited to make a fun craft while watching Duck Tales. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The children’s ticket will include a craft activity, classic cartoons, a small popcorn, and a drink (bottled water or juice box). The adult’s ticket includes classic cartoons and a bottled water or juice box. Tickets are available at GrapevineTexasUSA.com.

Higher Goals Spring Break Basketball Camp – Monday, March 17 – Friday, March 21 Children will have the opportunity to elevate their basketball game to new heights by registering for Higher Goals Spring Break Basketball Camp. This youth basketball camp will be filled with training in ball handling, shooting skills, defense, and passing. Please visit GoGrapevine.com to register.
