Ice Skating at Peace Plaza Ice Rink Opening Weekend With Special Performances on Saturday, November 23
‘Tis the season to be in the Christmas Capital of Texas®! Experience the Peace Plaza Ice Rink, presented by Baylor Scott & White - Grapevine, and glide across the ice on this Texas sized 4,500-square-foot outdoor ice-skating rink on Historic Main Street. All skate sessions are one-hour with 15-minute breaks (between sessions) for exiting and entering skaters.
On Saturday, November 23, there will be performances by North Texas native and 2022 Olympian Ashley Cain, Team USA pair Nick Traxler & Kristen Nardozzi, and some young “Future Olympians”. Performances begin at 6:15 pm and are FREE to view.

Carol of Lights – Monday, November 25 - FREE
Rediscover the enchantment of Christmas at the 36th Annual Carol of Lights, presented by Texas Health. This event officially launches the Christmas Capital of Texas® festivities! Explore Historic Main Street as it transforms into a winter wonderland, with multiple stages featuring community performances, interactive activity zones, and festive food truck vendors. A street lighting will take place at 5:30 pm when Main Street is illuminated from Northwest Highway to Dallas Road. Enjoy the view from anywhere along Main Street. Bring the little ones to watch classic cartoons while making a fun craft at the Lancaster Theatre. The children’s ticket will include a craft activity, classic cartoons, a small popcorn, and a drink (bottled water or juice box). The adult’s ticket includes classic cartoons and a drink (bottled water or juice box). A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and Garfield’s Thanksgiving will be the featured cartoons. The REC of Grapevine Thanksgiving Hours
Get a head start on your turkey day and make time for fitness before the holiday fun begins! On Monday, November 25th, The REC will be open 5 am – 3 pm, giving you plenty of time to fit in your workout. This Thanksgiving, we encourage you to enjoy a well-deserved rest day and spend quality time with family and friends. To celebrate the holiday, The REC will be closed on Thursday, November 28th, allowing our team to do the same.
Sunset Tower Series at Grapevine’s Observation Tower – Weekends, Through November 23
View the sunset from the highest point on Main Street! Experience the beauty and wonder of fall from 150 feet in the air from the Observation Tower at Grapevine Main! Guests can visit the tower before/during the sunset. Tickets are available at GrapevineTexasUSA.com.
