38th Annual GrapeFest® Starts Tomorrow – September 12 – 15
Tickets for the 38th Annual GrapeFest® - Texas Wine Experience, presented by Bank of the West, are now available. GrapeFest® celebrates wines from around the world but takes special pride in Texas wine. The People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic, sponsored by Audi Grapevine, is the largest consumer-judged wine competition in the nation and exclusively features Texas wines. Sip champagnes and sparkling wines under the shaded oaks at the Champagne Terrance sponsored by Hilton DFW Lakes. Explore internationally and nationally recognized wines at a unique tasting experience at Liberty Park Plaza International Wine Experience sponsored by Gaylord Texan Resort. Enjoy a variety of rosé at the all-new Rosé Gazebo sponsored by Messina Hof Winery, Landon Winery and Llano Estacado Winery. From there, head to the Champagne Cork Shoot-Off sponsored by Texas Gun Experience or the classic Grape Stomp and get ready for fun, competitive events you won’t forget! Festival attendees will experience non-stop live music on four stages during the four-day family friendly festival. Visitors will also enjoy a carnival midway and a shopper’s paradise at local Main Street boutiques, galleries, and select vendors. Texas Rangers World Series Championship Trophy Tour at GrapeFest® This Week
The Texas Rangers’ 2023 World Series Championship Trophy will be on display at the 38th Annual GrapeFest®. Stop by for this perfect photo op.

NEW Citywide Trash Cart Program
The City of Grapevine, in partnership with Republic Services, will be implementing a new citywide trash cart program, effective October 1. The new trash collection vehicles are automated just like your current recycling program. All waste must be placed in the provided cart to be collected on your regular trash days. All other services will remain unchanged.
Trash Cart Details:
1. Each household will be provided with a new 95-gallon trash cart.
2. Carts will be delivered to each household beginning the week of September 23.
3. The standard cart size is 95 gallons, but a 65-gallon cart is available for those who need a smaller cart. Visit bit.ly/4dRFbjW to request the 65-gallon cart. All waste must fit inside your new cart. Visit bit.ly/4e2FPuH for full details regarding this new program.
Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant – September 3 – October 8
The Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant provides funding for litter prevention, waste reduction, and/or beautification projects. Your school, business, or organization may receive up to $5,000 to assist with your project. Examples of previous projects include the purchase of water bottle filling stations, trash carts, and landscape improvements. Applications will be accepted through October 3 for the Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant program, sponsored by Sam Pack’s Five Star Subaru-Grapevine. Carol of Lights Vendor Applications Now Being Accepted
Applications are now being accepted from food and merchant vendors for the 36th Annual Carol of Lights event. Whether you offer food or unique merchandise, this is your opportunity to shine under the dazzling lights while captivating Christmas event attendees. The date of the event is Monday, November 25.

Julie Schellen on Court Records and Genealogy – Saturday, September 21 - FREE
Court records are extremely important documents for genealogists and family historians. They may contain information not found in other records, especially when identifying relationships. Dr. Julie K. Schellen will present an hour-long program on accessing, using, and getting the most out of these valuable records. Julie is the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) National Lineage Research Vice-Chair, South Central Division; TXDAR Leadership Training Vice-Chair; and a member of the TXDAR State Application Team. She also served as the DAR First Vice Regent, Captain Molly Corbin Chapter, Grapevine, Texas.

Keep Grapevine Beautiful - Fall Sweep - Saturday, September 28
Impact your community by participating in Fall Sweep, our biggest volunteer cleanup event of the year - and help to keep Grapevine beautiful! Volunteers work together to help keep our parks, shoreline, and waterways litter free. All supplies for this event will be provided. Afterward, participants are invited to meet in the courtyard, (between The REC and the Library) for a free lunch provided by the Sam’s Club food truck and an opportunity to win prizes from REI, Central Market, and more. Rabies Vaccine Clinic – Saturday, September 28 - FREE
There will be a free rabies vaccine clinic at Grapevine Animal Services, 500 Shady Brook Drive, on Saturday, September 28 from 10 am to 12 pm. Other low-cost vaccines will also be available. It is required by state and local law that all dogs, cats, and ferrets ages four months and up are current on their rabies vaccine. Now is the time to protect your pet and family from this preventable zoonotic disease. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be crated. Cash/card accepted. No appointment necessary.
Sunset Live! at The Botanical Gardens – Friday, October 4 & Saturday, October 5 - FREE General Admission & VIP Tickets Now Available
Join the Grapevine Parks and Recreation crew for Sunset Live! at the Botanical Gardens, 411 Ball Street on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5. Enjoy a live music journey down memory lane with classics featuring your favorite genres each night. Bring the family or a date, and your picnic blanket or chairs for an evening under the stars. Children will enjoy the (complimentary) Kidz Zone filled with fun activities for their age groups. Food, beer, and wine will also be available for purchase (ages 21 and older).

The VIP experience offers the Bessie Mitchell House as your private event space, with light fare (appetizers), two beverage tickets, and early access to the gardens. VIP tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door. Free, general admission tickets will be available at the event. Doors open at 5:30 pm daily for those with VIP tickets and 6 pm for general admission attendees.

Explore Grapevine Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park with a docent-led journey through the beauty of nature. Tours are conducted by Grapevine Garden Club volunteers and are designed for a minimum of eight adult participants in each group. Choose from two different tours (listed below).
