9/11 Day of Remembrance Ceremony  
The City of Grapevine will host its annual 9/11 Day of Remembrance Ceremony on Wednesday, September 11, beginning at 7:40 am at 1000 Texan Trail. This remembrance ceremony will be live streamed on this Facebook platform at 7:30 am. Parking may be limited. For those unable to attend, we invite you to join us virtually as we reflect and remember those who perished on this date 23 years ago. We Will Never Forget! 

NEW Citywide Trash Cart Program  
The City of Grapevine, in partnership with Republic Services, will be implementing a new citywide trash cart program, effective October 1, 2024. The new trash collection vehicles are automated just like your current recycling program. All waste must be placed in the provided cart to be collected on your regular trash days. All other services will remain unchanged.  
Trash Cart Details: 
1. Each household will be provided with a new 95-gallon trash cart. 
2. Carts will be delivered to each household beginning the week of September 23. 
3. The standard cart size is 95 gallons, but a 65-gallon cart is available for those who need a smaller cart. Visit bit.ly/4dRFbjW to request the 65-gallon cart. All waste must fit inside your new cart. Visit bit.ly/4e2FPuH for full details regarding this new program.

Positive West Nile Virus Mosquito Samples 
Three mosquito samples tested positive for carrying the West Nile Virus. Mosquito control ground spraying will be conducted within a one-mile radius of the 1500 block of N. Dooley Street, the 3100 block of Timberline Drive, and the 1800 block of Hall-Johnson Road on Friday, September 6 beginning at 9pm. 10th Annual Clear the Shelters – Saturday, September 7  
On Saturday, September 7, animal shelters across the metroplex and the country will be celebrating Clear the Shelters. Grapevine Animal Services will participate with waived adoption fees on Saturday, September 7.  If you have been looking for your next “Fluffy” or “Fido” to be your companion, they would love to make a love match for you!  See all available animals, hours of operation, and contact information at GrapevineAnimalServices.org. Grapevine Partners with 6 Stones to Provide Home Repairs for Community Revitalization – Applications Open through September 6
The City of Grapevine is now accepting applications for the 6 Stones Community Powered Revitalization (CPR) program. The CPR program coordinates corporate and community volunteers to provide exterior home repairs for qualified homeowners. To qualify, the applicant must be age 62 (or older) or handicapped, disabled, a veteran or a spouse of a veteran, or a single head of household with children under the age of 18 who are currently living at home. The applicant must also meet certain income restrictions and have lived in their home for a minimum of two years. The 2024 Fall Blitz of home repairs is just around the corner. If you qualify, please complete the application and submit it by September 6 to the City Manager’s office at City Hall, 200 South Main Street with the required financial information. 

Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant – September 3 – October 8
The Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant provides funding for litter prevention, waste reduction, and/or beautification projects. Your school, business, or organization may receive up to $5,000 to assist with your project. Examples of previous projects include the purchase of water bottle filling stations, trash carts, and landscape improvements. Applications will be accepted through October 3 for the Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant program, sponsored by Sam Pack’s Five Star Subaru-Grapevine. Carol of Lights Vendor Applications Now Being Accepted
Applications are now being accepted from food and merchant vendors for the 36th Annual Carol of Lights event. Whether you offer food or unique merchandise, this is your opportunity to shine under the dazzling lights while captivating Christmas event attendees. For those who wish to take part in this cherished tradition, please visit GoGrapevine.com to submit an application.  Applications will be accepted through November 1, or until spaces have been filled.  The date of the event is Monday, November 25.

20th Annual Italian Carfest – This Saturday, September 7 - FREE  
The Italian Car Club of North Texas and the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau, will present ItalianCarFest 2024, a prelude to the 38th Annual GrapeFest®. Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, this is the largest show of premier Italian automobiles in the southwest. There will be more than 80 modern and classic vehicles, from Fiats and Alfa Romeos to Lamborghinis, and Ferraris, as well as Maseratis, Siatas, and Lancias. Admission is free. Intro to Archery – September 4 - 25
Take aim and explore the dynamic sport of archery through various challenges, games, and activities. This introductory course will turn a young beginner archer into a seasoned one. Participants will learn the steps of shooting, range safety, form, and equipment of archery.  All equipment will be provided. Registration is now open at GoGrapevine.com.

Archery Leagues – September 5 - 26
The Archery League allows kids and teens the opportunity to continue the archery skills they have learned from the Introduction to Archery class by providing an open range for additional shooting time. This introductory course will take the most novice fishing enthusiast and turn them into a seasoned fly fisherman. Introduction to Fly Fishing will take you through the basics of equipment, forward casting, and back casting with ample hands-on experience with a veteran fly-fishing instructor. Yappy Hour – Monday, September 16 
Bring your pup, family, and friends to Bohemian Bull Tavern and Beer Garden and support Grapevine Animal Services. During this Yappy Hour event, 25% of proceeds from food and beverage purchases will benefit Grapevine Animal Services. Well-mannered, leashed dogs are welcome on the patio!

Keep Grapevine Beautiful - Fall Sweep - Saturday, September 28 
Impact your community by participating in Fall Sweep, our biggest volunteer cleanup event of the year - and help to keep Grapevine beautiful! Volunteers work together to help keep our parks, shoreline, and waterways litter free.  All supplies for this event will be provided. Afterward, participants are invited to meet in the courtyard, between The REC and the Library, for lunch. Participants will also be eligible for prize drawings. Cleanup locations will be announced on Monday, September 23. Please register today at KeepGrapevineBeautiful.org/FallSweep.

Rabies Vaccine Clinic – Saturday, September 28 - FREE  
There will be a free rabies vaccine clinic at Grapevine Animal Services, 500 Shady Brook Drive, on Saturday, September 28 from 10 am to 12 pm. Other low-cost vaccines will also be available. It is required by state and local law that all dogs, cats, and ferrets ages four months and up are current on their rabies vaccine. Now is the time to protect your pet and family from this preventable zoonotic disease. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be crated.  Cash/card accepted.  No appointment necessary.    

Sunset Live! at The Botanical Gardens – Friday, October 4 & Saturday, October 5 - FREE General Admission & VIP Tickets Now Available 
Join the Grapevine Parks and Recreation crew for Sunset Live! at the Botanical Gardens, 411 Ball Street on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5. Enjoy a live music journey down memory lane with classics featuring your favorite genres each night.  Bring the family or a date, and your picnic blanket or chairs for an evening under the stars. Children will enjoy the (complimentary) Kidz Zone filled with fun activities for their age groups.  Food, beer, and wine will also be available for purchase (ages 21 and older).

The VIP experience offers the Bessie Mitchell House as your private event space, with light fare (appetizers), two beverage tickets, and early access to the gardens. VIP tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door. Free, general admission tickets will be available at the event. Doors open at 5:30 pm daily for those with VIP tickets and 6 pm for general admission attendees.

It is a great place to bring the whole family, learn about Texas products, and shop locally.

Grapevine Botanical Garden Docent Tours - FREE 
Explore Grapevine Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park with a docent-led journey through the beauty of nature. Tours are conducted by Grapevine Garden Club volunteers and are designed for a minimum of eight adult participants in each group. Choose from two different tours (listed below).
