We are incredibly honored to announce that the Midwest section - South Main Street and Dallas Road in Grapevine is a 2023 Great Place in Texas recipient! This award recognizes our community's support of local planning efforts to create and sustain these Great Places. The Grapevine Planning Division manages long-range planning and research, review of zoning applications, and other development requests to ensure compliance with City requirements. This division works closely with property owners, developers, the community, and other city staff on a variety of projects.

Director of Planning Services, Erica Marohnic said, "The award-winning South Main Street and Dallas Road in Grapevine, Texas is a true reflection of the city's leadership's dedication and vision. The 2023 Great Places in Texas award is a testament to their efforts to create a lively, livable community that enhances the lives of both its residents and visitors. This recognition validates the city's commitment to prioritize urban planning and design, historic preservation, placemaking, and fostering economic vitality while maintaining a small-town feel. We are extremely proud to receive this honor and remain committed to help shape the future of our city with the same level of dedication and excellence.”

Recently, The Great Places in Texas Award recipients were recognized during an Awards Ceremony at the APATX23 Planning Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas. Congratulations to our stellar Planning team!

Shop, Wine, Dine & Explore Grapevine
Grapevine has so many exciting restaurants that have been added to the more than 200 dining options we offer - and we will be welcoming additional concepts soon! Most recently, the north side of TX 114 has been revitalized with an exciting cluster of restaurants and Firebird's Wood Fired Grill is the latest concept in that neighborhood. Joining Velvet Taco and Son of a Butcher, Firebird's is the first full-service restaurant in that area, bringing scratch-made food and a warm atmosphere. They've also added a full-service bar with craft cocktails that have everyone talking.
