City Offices, Facilities Closures & Trash Collection  
In observance of the Christmas holiday, all City offices, city facilities, and The REC will be closed on Monday, December 25, and Tuesday, December 26. The Grapevine Public Library will be closed Sunday, December 24 through Tuesday, December 26. The REC will be closed Sunday, January 1. All essential services will operate normally. Trash and recycling that is normally collected on Mondays will shift to Tuesday and so-forth for the rest of the week.

Ohio State University Marching Band to Rehearse at Mustang Stadium
The Ohio State University Marching Band will prepare for their 2023 Cotton Bowl performance with rehearsals at Mustang Panther Stadium, 3051 Ira E. Woods Avenue, 76051 on December 27, 28, and 29. Rehearsals are open to the public to watch one of the best college marching bands in the country. The band is famous for its floating and animated formations, script writing, and fast cadence with high knee lifts. The band’s Script Ohio is considered by many to be the most memorable tradition in college band history. Mustang Panther Stadium will be open 20 minutes before each rehearsal and will close 15 minutes after each rehearsal. Additional details may be found at bit.ly/3Qo7KuY. 

REC Aquatic Center (Temporary) Closure – Beginning Monday, January 8
The REC Aquatic Center will be closed for maintenance and re-plastering beginning Monday, January 8. The closure includes the pool, hot tub, and sauna. The improvements will take approximately six to eight weeks to complete.  We appreciate your patience as we conduct these improvements. Please visit GoGrapevine.com for progress updates.

MLK Day of Service – Monday, January 15
Join us on Martin Luther King Jr. Day for ‘A day on, not a day off.’ On this day, the American people are called upon to engage in public service and promote peaceful social change. In 1994, Congress designated Martin Luther King Jr. Day as the first, and only federal holiday observed as a National Day of Service. Together, we will honor Dr. King's legacy by actively contributing to the betterment of our communities by participating in outdoor community improvement. Daddy Daughter Dance – Friday, January 19 & Saturday, January 20
Get ready to boogie the night away at our groovy disco daddy–daughter dance. Your time will be filled with dancing, music, and themed activities. So, dust off those bell bottoms and put on your dancing shoes because we are taking you back to the seventies! Don't miss out on this unforgettable night of fun. Classic Christmas Cartoons and Crafts – Through Friday, December 22  
The kids will enjoy Christmas-themed cartoons and crafts all month long. Classics like A Charlie Brown Christmas, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas, and many more will be shown throughout the month. The Christmas crafts include ornaments, snowman crafts, reindeer crafts, picture frame magnets, and more. The children’s ticket includes a craft activity, a small popcorn, and a beverage (juice box or bottled water). The adult’s ticket includes a beverage (juice box or bottled water). Ice Skating at Peace Plaza Ice Rink – Through Sunday, January 7
‘Tis the season to be in the Christmas Capital of Texas®!  Experience the Peace Plaza Ice Rink, presented by Champion Energy Services, and glide across the ice on this Texas sized 4,500-square-foot outdoor ice-skating rink on Historic Main Street. Holiday Community Pet Pantry, Free Rabies and Low Cost Pet Vaccines – Saturday, December 30
This holiday season, Grapevine Animal Services is working to help keep pets with the families that love them. Part of that is assisting with the nutritional needs of your pet. We will have an assortment of donated dog food, cat food, and pet care supplies. Additionally, we are offering your furry friends free rabies vaccines and other low cost vaccines.
