THIS WEEKEND IN GRAPEVINE 

City Office Closures and Trash Collection  
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, all City offices, Grapevine Public Library, and facilities will be closed on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24. The REC will resume standard operating hours on Friday, November 24. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, trash and recycling collection will shift to the following day. Thursday's trash and/or recycling collection will shift to Friday, November 24, and Friday's trash and/or recycling collection will shift to Saturday, November 25. All essential services will operate normally. 

Santa Cops 2023  
The Grapevine Community Outreach Center is now accepting applications for the Santa Cops 2023 program. If you or someone you know has children ages three to 17 years of age who are in need of Christmas gifts, please visit the Grapevine Community Outreach Center, 3010 Mustang Drive, to submit an application. Santa Cops applications will remain open until Friday, December 8.  

If you are interested in volunteering to wrap gifts, please register at GrapevineTexas.gov. Gift wrapping will take place on Tuesday, December 5 and Tuesday, December 12, from 5 to 8 pm.  If needed, a third wrapping night will take place on Thursday, December 14, from 5 to 8 pm.  

Ice Skating at Peace Plaza Ice Rink – Through Sunday, January 7
‘Tis the season to be in the Christmas Capital of Texas®! Experience the Peace Plaza Ice Rink, presented by Champion Energy Services, and glide across the ice on this Texas sized 4,500-square-foot outdoor ice-skating rink on Historic Main Street. All skate sessions are one-hour with 15-minute breaks (between sessions) for exiting and entering skaters.

The REC’s Annual After Thanksgiving “Burn off” – Friday, November 24  
Every Thanksgiving, the average American eats an estimated 4,500 calories throughout the day!  This year, instead of turning those calories into unwanted pounds, head over to The REC on Friday morning. Take part in a muscle, core, and cardio (head-to-toe), low-impact workout. Registration is open at bit.ly/3MJf5nP.

Elf Adventure – Friday, November 24 – Saturday, December 23 
Explore Grapevine’s enchanting past and join in an Elf Adventure! Experience the Christmas spirit while visiting Historic Grapevine and participating in unique activities. Location: Grapevine Settlement to City Museums, 206 West Hudgins Street 
Fee: $10 for a pass to all activities or $3 for each individual activity. There is no admission fee to the Settlement to City Museums. The adventure does not include a train excursion

Christmas in Grapevine Craft Show – Saturday, November 25 & Sunday, November 26
Come join us for two days of Christmas shopping at the Christmas in Grapevine Craft Show! We will have the entire venue filled with 90+ vendor booths, holiday music, holiday decor, and thousands of gift items. There will be drawings and prizes all weekend and Santa will be ready to visit with your little ones and take those unforgettable pictures. Tickets are available at GrapevineTexasUSA.com.

Classic Christmas Cartoons and Crafts – Through Friday, December 22    
The kids will enjoy Christmas-themed cartoons and crafts all month long. Classics like A Charlie Brown Christmas, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas, and many more will be shown throughout the month. The Christmas crafts include ornaments, snowman crafts, reindeer crafts, picture frame magnets, and more. The children’s ticket includes a craft activity, a small popcorn, and a beverage (juice box or bottled water). The adult’s ticket includes a beverage (juice box or bottled water). Club All-Access Winter Production – Saturday, December 2  
Join us for a heartwarming and joyful holiday production as Club All- Access, our special needs adult group, presents The 12 Days of Christmas. This enchanting play takes you on a whimsical journey through the classic song, filled with laughter, love, and the spirit of giving. Christmas is a wonderful time of year; the sights, the sounds and the smells make it easy to get swept away in the memories of it all. Grapevine's Hometown Christmas exhibit will have plenty of picture-perfect moments while becoming a holiday must that will delight the kid in all of us!
