35th Annual Carol of Lights – Monday, November 20 
The Carol of Lights presented by Texas Health, will kick off the Christmas Capital of Texas® festivities on Historic Main Street. Join Saint Nick for our Carol of Lights celebration, stretching from Northwest Highway to Dallas Road. Enjoy family-friendly activities, food, street vendors, and live performances beginning at 4 pm. The official tree lighting ceremony with Mayor William D. Tate in Peace Plaza (815 South Main Street) will begin at 6:30 pm. Enjoy one of two identical light and fireworks shows at City Hall (200 South Main Street) at 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm (these shows may have strobe effects and will have loud sounds for those who may be sensitive). Each show will be approximately 10 minutes in duration with standing room only. Chairs will not be available at this year’s event. Please visit GoGrapevine.com for additional information.

Volunteers Needed for Carol of Lights - Presented by Texas Health
Register to volunteer at the 35th Annual Carol of Lights presented by Texas Health. Volunteer to spread Christmas cheer by taking part in numerous opportunities from crafts, to photo booths, bounce houses, and other festive activities. This is a fun way to help people create lasting Christmas joy. Register today at GoGrapevine.com.  Volunteers must be ages 14 and older.

Ice Skating at Peace Plaza Ice Rink – Monday, November 20 - Sunday, January 7
‘Tis the season to be in the Christmas Capital of Texas®! Experience the Peace Plaza Ice Rink, presented by Champion Energy Services, and glide across the ice on this Texas sized 4,500-square-foot outdoor ice-skating rink on Historic Main Street. All skate sessions are one-hour with 15-minute breaks (between sessions) for exiting and entering skaters.

Location: Peace Plaza at Grapevine Main Station, 815 South Main Street  
Fee: $20 per person (includes skate rentals). Guests are welcome to use their own skates for the same cost.  

Santa Cops 2023  
The Grapevine Community Outreach Center is now accepting applications for the Santa Cops 2023 program. If you or someone you know has children ages three to 17 years of age who are in need of Christmas gifts, please visit the Grapevine Community Outreach Center, 3010 Mustang Drive, to submit an application. Santa Cops applications will remain open until Friday, December 8. Gift wrapping will take place on Tuesday, December 5 and Tuesday, December 12, from 5 to 8 pm. If needed, a third wrapping night will take place on Thursday, December 14, from 5 to 8 pm. Gift wrapping volunteers, please register at GrapevineTexas.gov. 

Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive - Through November 17
Give back to your community by participating in a Thanksgiving canned food drive. Your donated canned goods and non-perishable items will help those in need. For every donation (regardless of quantity), receive a Guest Pass to The REC. All proceeds will be donated to the GRACE food pantry.

The Big Band Holiday Swing Thing – Saturday, November 18

The REC’s Annual After Thanksgiving “Burn off” – Friday, November 24  
Every Thanksgiving, the average American eats an estimated 4,500 calories throughout the day!  This year, instead of turning those calories into unwanted pounds, head over to The REC on Friday morning.
