Kimball Road Improvements – Temporary Closure In Place
Due to high water on a portion of Kimball Road during heavy rain and high lake level seasons, Kimball Road is temporarily closed at Snakey Lane and Kimball Road and Lakeridge Drive and Forest Hill Road. To conduct the work needed to install an arch culvert structure (which raises the roadway), crews will keep this portion of Kimball Road closed through the end of the year.
Heavy equipment is moving through this area at various times while this project is underway. Our primary concern is SAFETY for our public works crews, pedestrians, pets, children, bicycles, scooters, etc. This work area is unsafe for anyone outside of our professional crews at work. Effective immediately, no one is allowed beyond the safety barricades and/or cabling marking the work location for this project until its completion. The scope of this project is detailed below.
Roadway Construction on Willam D. Tate Avenue
We have been informed that the roadway work being conducted on Willam D. Tate Avenue by TxDOT should be completed by the end of November (pending any extensive rain delays).
