Spring Cleaning Reminders
It's that time of year when regular lawncare kicks off, and brush and debris are placed at the curb to be collected, The Recycle Coach app (RecycleCoach.com) is user-friendly and supplies collection schedules and weather-related updates. You may also key your address in at bit.ly/2R2ut2l to view a calendar with collection details that are specific to your address.
Green Waste: Paper bags are 100% biodegradable. Please place all leaves, limbs, grass clippings, and rocks that are being disposed of in paper refuse bags for collection. These bags may be purchased from your local hardware store and should be placed at your curb on your collection date.
Recycling of Bottles and Lids: Please rinse and dry all (hard) plastic, metal, glass food jars, bottles, and their pull-off and/or screw top lids and place them back on their container prior to placing them in your recycle container. This includes the lids for recyclable water bottles, milk bottles, ketchup bottles, salad dressing jars, pickle jars, jelly jars, etc. Remember, lids on, please.
Plastic Bags: While plastic bags may be reused, they are not recyclable. Please do not place them in your recycle container.
Wire Hangers: Wire hangers are not recyclable and should be returned to your dry cleaners for reuse.
General Recycling: Paper and cardboard must be clean and dry. Glass containers (all colors accepted) should be rinsed, but labels may be left on.
