Household Hazardous Waste Event – This Saturday, March 25
The City of Grapevine will be hosting its annual Household Hazardous Waste Event this Saturday, March 25. The event is for Grapevine residents only. Proof of residency (driver’s license or utility bill) is required. Acceptable items will be any household hazardous waste (paint, oil, herbicides, pesticides, cleaners, fluorescent bulbs, etc.). Please visit GrapevineTexas.gov for a full listing of acceptable (and unacceptable) items and additional details.

Spring Cleaning Reminders
It's that time of year when regular lawncare kicks off, and brush and debris are placed at the curb to be collected, The Recycle Coach app (RecycleCoach.com) is user-friendly and supplies collection schedules and weather-related updates. You may also key your address in at bit.ly/2R2ut2l to view a calendar with collection details that are specific to your address.
Refuse Bags: Paper bags are 100% biodegradable. Please place all leaves, limbs, grass clippings, and rocks that are being disposed of in paper refuse bags for collection. These bags may be purchased from your local hardware store.
Recycling of Bottles and Lids: Please rinse and dry all (hard) plastic, metal, glass food jars, bottles, and their pull-off and/or screw top lids and place them back on their container prior to placing them in your recycle container. This includes the lids for recyclable water bottles, milk bottles, ketchup bottles, salad dressing jars, pickle jars, jelly jars, etc. Remember, lids on, please.
Plastic Bags: While plastic bags may be reused, they are not recyclable. Please do not place them in your recycle container.
Wire Hangers: Wire hangers are not recyclable and should be returned to your dry cleaners for reuse.
General Recycling: Paper and cardboard must be clean and dry. Glass containers (all colors accepted) should be rinsed, but labels may be left on.

To convert the content on our City website to another language, click the Settings (gear icon) on the left side of the page and select "Translate page". This will convert the content on the website to Spanish. If another language is desired, please look to the top left of the page and click the blue drop-down arrow (next to the word Spanish) to select from a listing of other language options.
TEXRail Temporary Service Disruption
As part of TEXRail’s safety, maintenance, and quality assurance program, trains will not operate on Tuesday, March 28. TEXRail will resume regular service on Wednesday, March 29. If you have no other means of transportation to essential employment during this time, please call customer care at 817.215.8600 by 5 pm Friday, March 24. Representatives will be able to help you with travel arrangements.

A prairie is a diverse ecosystem of native grasses and flowering plants where more than 100 plant species can occur on fewer than five acres. Prairie wildlife, soil, geology, and fire play important roles in a prairie. Learn how we can protect, restore, and educate others about these precious ecosystems. Grapevine Animal Services Open House - Saturday, April 15
Join the Animal Services team for a family friendly event at the Grapevine Animal Services. They will offer microchipping for dogs ($10), and free for cats. Your pups will love the doggie ice cream while you enjoy tacos from the Crown taco truck. Tour the shelter and enjoy games, face painting, and arts and crafts. The mobile library will be on site and the Grapevine Fire and Police departments will conduct demonstrations.
