Library Celebrates 100 Years! - This Saturday, March 4
CHEERS TO 100 YEARS! Join us for the Grapevine Public Library's Centennial Celebration on Saturday, March 4 beginning at 10:30 am in the Library Program Room. Mayor William D. Tate will share his library memories at 11 am. In honor of our hundred years, Mayor Tate has generously donated 100 copies of his memoir, “My Barefoot Days”, to the Friends of the Library. The books will be available for pre-sale for a $20 cash or check donation and all funds raised will go directly to the Friends of the Library. A book signing event will be announced at a later date. Library Board Member, Megan Li, will perform a harp concert at 2 pm, and the celebration will culminate with a variety of children’s activities and entertainment from 3 to 5 pm. We thank all of our many patrons for being part of Grapevine Public Library’s history and we look forward to celebrating with you! Texas Independence Day Celebration – This Saturday, March 4
Mark your calendars for the annual celebration of Texas Independence Day hosted by the Grapevine Historical Society. 2023 marks the 200th anniversary of the Texas Rangers Law Enforcement Agency. They will bring their traveling road show exhibition to Grapevine with a program including former Texas Rangers and historians. Mayor William D. Tate will speak at 2 pm. The exhibits, speakers, and vehicles will represent the celebration of 200 years of history in Texas.

The Dinos are Coming! – Prehistoric Park Tickets Now Available
The dinosaurs return to Grapevine this Spring and we invite you to LEARN about Grapevine’s prehistoric past while roaming through an outdoor exhibition of animatronic dinosaurs. DIG into the action and enjoy hands-on activities for the whole family. EXPLORE the biggest show yet, day or night! Activities include boneyard games, numerous exhibit displays, tracks trail, a dig site to discover bones of the past, and animatronic dinosaurs. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Household Hazardous Waste Event – March 25
The City of Grapevine will be hosting its annual Household Hazardous Waste Event on This event is for Grapevine residents ONLY. Proof of residency (driver’s license or utility bill) is required. Acceptable items will be any household hazardous waste (paint, oil, herbicides, pesticides, cleaners, fluorescent bulbs, etc.).
