In observance of the New Year holiday, all City offices will be closed on Monday, January 2. The Grapevine Public Library will be closed Sunday, January 1 and Monday, January 2. The REC will be closed Sunday, January 1. All essential services will operate normally. Trash and recycling collection will operate normally.

Experience the magic of the Christmas Capital of Texas® in Historic Downtown Grapevine. Everyone’s favorite Christmas spot is back and better than ever! Enjoy all the decorations along Main Street and a variety of daily performances. As you make your way through this magical wonderland, be sure to visit the animated snowmen, “The Chilly Dawgs” and the larger-than-life-sized toy land at Liberty Park Plaza. There are plenty of photo opportunities throughout downtown with characters, vintage sleighs, life-size Christmas cards, and more! Ice Skating at Peace Plaza Ice Rink – Through Sunday, January 8
‘Tis the season to be in the Christmas Capital of Texas®! Experience the all-new Peace Plaza Ice Rink and glide across the ice on this Texas sized 4,500-square-foot outdoor ice-skating rink on Historic Main Street. All skate sessions are one hour with 15-minute breaks (between sessions) for exiting and entering skaters. Look no further for a great New Year’s resolution workout. James Oliver will be launching “The Program” beginning January 10. Get in even better shape while having fun and meeting new people. If you lose 10 pounds within the six-week class, 100% of your registration fee will be credited towards five, one-hour personal training sessions. A REC membership is not required for this class. The Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Daddy Daughter Dance will offer tons of dancing, hors d’oeuvres, themed activities, and much more at this Hollywood themed event! Strut the red carpet as we bring Hollywood glam to Grapevine. Shine under the spotlight together and have a date night with your daughter filled with lasting memories you will always cherish. Tickets are now available. Pricing is per person and space is limited. This event will sell out quickly and tickets will not be available at the door.
