City Offices, Facilities Closures & Trash Collection
In observance of the Christmas holiday, all City offices will be closed on Friday, December 23, Monday, December 26, and Sunday, January 1. The Grapevine Public Library will be closed Friday, December 23 through Monday, December 26, and Sunday, January 1. The REC will be closed Saturday, December 24, Sunday, December 25, and Sunday, January 1. All essential services will operate normally. Trash and recycling collection will operate normally.
Chicken N Pickle OPENING January 17
Raise your hand if you're ready for some FUN! Chicken N Pickle, the world’s premier pickleball restaurant and entertainment destination is set to open its second North Texas location at 4600 Merlot Ave (next to Delaney Vineyards) on Tuesday, January 17. In addition to their signature pickleball courts and game yards, they have expanded the concept to include a dog park and BBQ smoke shack for our Grapevine location. Chicken N Pickle Grapevine, a unique indoor-outdoor “eatertainment” complex, will feature 12 year-round pickleball courts, lawn games, a rooftop bar, and a casual, chef-driven restaurant that offers a variety of delicious dishes. Additional indoor and outdoor staging areas such as the ‘Be Amazing’ Room and Bier Gardens will be available for private event spaces which can accommodate more than 2,000 guests. Classic Christmas Cartoons and Crafts – Through Friday, December 23
Your children will enjoy Christmas-themed cartoons and crafts all month long. Classics like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas, and many more will be shown throughout the month. The Christmas crafts include ornaments, snowman crafts, reindeer crafts, picture frame magnets, and more. Look no further for a great New Year’s resolution workout. James Oliver will be launching “The Program” beginning January 10. Get in even better shape while having fun and meeting new people. If you lose 10 pounds within the six-week class, 100% of your registration fee will be credited towards five, one-hour personal training sessions. A REC membership is not required for this class. The Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Daddy Daughter Dance will offer tons of dancing, hors d’oeuvres, themed activities, and much more at this Hollywood themed event! Strut the red carpet as we bring Hollywood glam to Grapevine. Shine under the spotlight together and have a date night with your daughter filled with lasting memories you will always cherish. Tickets are now available to residents and will become available to non-residents on December 19. Pricing is per person and space is limited. This event will sell out quickly and tickets will not be available at the door.

Boomer Karate 55 and Better Demo Class – Thursday, December 15 - FREE
Boomer Karate is an easy, low impact exercise program designed to improve balance, muscle tone, and overall health. Based on martial art techniques drawn from the Wado Ryu style of Karate, this is a disciplined skill progression to gradually increase student strength, confidence, and some self-defense abilities.
