City Offices & Facilities Closures
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, all city offices will be closed on both Thursday and Friday, November 24 and November 25. On Wednesday, November 23, the Library will close at 5 pm. On Thursday, November 24, the Library, and The REC will be closed. We wish everyone a lovely Thanksgiving holiday!
Trash and Recycling Schedule
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, all Thursday trash and recycling will be collected on Friday, November 26. Those who normally have their trash and recycling collected on Fridays, will have their items collected on Saturday, November 27.
Santa Cops - TOY DONATIONS NEEDED
'Tis the season for giving and we really need YOUR help to make some Santa Cops magic happen this year! This year's Santa Cops event, which typically brings in 90% of the toys we donate to families each year, was canceled due to rain. We are now THOUSANDS OF TOYS SHORT for our annual Santa Cops program. We have donation drop boxes at the Police Department, The REC, City Hall, Hotel Vin, Palace Theatre, Chill, and D-Bat Southlake. We will be accepting toys through Monday, December 12.
North Central Ballet Presents Nutcracker Short & Sweet – Saturday, November 26
Take a magical journey through the land of dancing snowflakes to the Kingdom of the Sweets. Enjoy colorful and energetic dancing to Tchailovsky’s famous score, including Spanish Dance, Arabian Dance, Waltz of the Flowers, and of course the Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy. Ornament Making & Cookie Baking at Nash Farm – Saturday, November 26 & Sunday, November 27
Come celebrate the Christmas season with Nash Farm with ornament making and cookie baking.

Ice Skating at Peace Plaza Ice Rink – Through Sunday, January 8
‘Tis the season to be in the Christmas Capital of Texas®! Experience the all-new Peace Plaza Ice Rink and glide across the ice on this Texas sized 4,500-square-foot outdoor ice-skating rink on Historic Main Street. All skate sessions are one hour with 15-minute breaks (between sessions) for exiting and entering skaters. Location: Peace Plaza at Grapevine Main Station, 815 South Main Street
Fee: $20 per person (includes skate rentals). Guests are welcome to use their own skates for the same cost.
