Register to Vote
The last day to register to vote in the November 8 Election is Tuesday, October 11. Register to vote at VoteTexas.Gov. Applications to register to vote are also available in the City Secretary’s Office in City Hall, 200 South Main Street, and at the Grapevine Public Library, 1201 Municipal Way.
Blood Drive - Give TODAY
We are teaming with Carter BloodCare today, October 5, for a (life-saving) blood drive at Wise Guys Pizzeria.
FACTS & STATS:
- One in three people will need a blood transfusion in their lifetime.
- Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and/or platelets.
- A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 units of blood.
- 1,500 donors a day are needed to have a stable, three-day supply within CBC’s service area (Central, North, and East Texas).
- 600 to 800 patients are in need of a blood transfusion within CBC’s service area.
- 600+ blood drives per month are needed to help meet hospital demand.

Fireworks Event - Tonight
A fireworks event will take place on Wednesday, October 5 east of Colleyville Heritage High School ballfields for their homecoming event. The fireworks display will begin at 7:45 pm and will last approximately eight minutes.

Grapevine Recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month with Inaugural ?????????????? ?????????????????? Event - FREE
Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
This year, Grapevine, Texas, will have its very own celebration! The inaugural ?????????????? ?????????????????? will take place on Sunday, October 16 from 3 – 6 pm at Peace Plaza, 815 South Main Street. Parking availability for this FREE event in the Historic Downtown Grapevine area may be viewed at bit.ly/3pdLGal.
??????????????, which means "to celebrate" in Spanish, will be the first celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month for the City of Grapevine. The festival will honor the contributions of Latinos, highlight local talent, and present a platform for sharing and learning. The event will feature local popular entertainment such as Mariachi Pura Sangre, Sofía Peña, and Fusión Latina. The program also includes local talent from Grapevine, as well as Academia Folklorico Musica y Danza who will be engaging all generations with a flash mob experience. Selfie stations for various Countries represented at this event will be judged by a distinguished panel - and the best artistic representation will receive a trophy. The first Hispanic Heritage Lifetime Achievement Award will also be announced during this family-friendly community event.
?????????????? ?????????????????? will be a celebration for the community, by the community, with learning and sharing opportunities not only across cultures but also across generations. The event is sponsored by Latinos in Grapevine, along with the Grapevine Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, 121 Community Church, First Baptist Church, and the Grapevine Community Outreach Center.
Attendees will enjoy Mexican and Peruvian folkloric dance troupes, including 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students from Silver Lake and Timberline schools. A flash mob experience will allow anyone to join in and Country booths will present an opportunity for attendees to learn about the countries represented, both in English and Spanish. Wellness for Life – Mobile Health Unit at The REC – Friday, October 7
The REC will be hosting the Texas Health Resources Mobile Unit for 3D screening digital mammograms. Women ages 40 years and older with no personal history of breast cancer, do not have breast implants, have no known lumps or other breast problems, are not pregnant, have not breast fed in the last six months, and have not received a mammogram in the past 12 months are eligible for the screening. Please bring your insurance card, driver license, or state issued ID to your appointment. Fully funded screenings are available to those who qualify. The Nash Farm Harvest Moon Supper is a celebration of Texas Wine Month featuring Texas wines that complement the 19th century inspired farm menu. The menu includes flavors of fall with many selections grown or produced historically at Nash Farm. An opening reception will offer attendees a taste of some delicious, unique 19th century dishes. Keep Grapevine Beautiful is partnering with the 6 Stones Community Powered Revitalization (CPR) program on October 22. This is a very impactful joint effort between the organization, the City, various businesses, nonprofit organizations, and churches. Grapevine’s Historic Main Street District is the oldest settlement in Tarrant County, originating under the Lone Star flag of the Republic of Texas in 1844, a year before Texas was annexed by the United States of America.
