9/11 21st Anniversary Day of Remembrance Ceremony
The City of Grapevine will host its annual 9/11 Day of Remembrance Ceremony on Sunday, September 11 beginning at 7:40 am at 1000 Texan Trail, Grapevine, 76051. This remembrance ceremony will be live streamed on the City of Grapevine’s Facebook platform beginning at 7:30 am. For those unable to attend, we invite you to join us virtually as we reflect and remember those who perished on this date 21 years ago. Schedule of events:

Rabies Vaccine Clinic – Saturday, September 10 - FREE
There will be a free rabies vaccine clinic at Grapevine Animal Services, 500 Shady Brook Drive, on Saturday, September 10 from 10 am to 12 pm. Other low-cost vaccines will also be available. It is required by state and local law that all dogs, cats, and ferrets ages four months and up are current on their rabies vaccine. Now is the time to protect your pet and family from this preventable zoonotic disease. Dogs must be on a leash, cats must be crated. Cash/card accepted. No appointment necessary.
19th Annual Italian Carfest – This Saturday, September 10 - FREE
The Italian Car Club of North Texas and the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau, will present ItalianCarFest 2022, a prelude to the 36th Annual GrapeFest®. Celebrating its 19th Anniversary, this is the largest show of premier Italian automobiles in the southwest. There will be more than 90 modern and classic vehicles, from Fiats and Alfa Romeos to Lamborghinis and Ferraris, as well as Maseratis, Siatas, and Lancias. Admission is free. Refreshments, including beer, wine, soft drinks, and Italian food (provided by Chez Fabien and Main Street Bistro) will be available for purchase. Keep Grapevine Beautiful - Fall Sweep - Saturday, September 24
Make an impact in your community by joining Fall Sweep, our biggest volunteer cleanup event of the year – and help keep Grapevine beautiful! Volunteers work together to help keep our parks, shoreline, and waterways litter free. All supplies for this event will be provided. Afterward, we will meet for lunch, courtesy of Weinberger's Deli and Central Market. Participants will also be eligible for prize drawings. Join us for Sunset Live! at the Botanical Gardens on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. Take a trip down memory lane as we bring the sunset to life with some of the best classic live music featuring your favorite genres, and decades each night. Enjoy a relaxing family outing or a memorable date night. Bring your picnic blanket, chairs, and your best dance moves for a fun evening of live music. Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz – Through September 30
Keep Grapevine Beautiful and Grapevine Parks and Recreation are partnering to for a month-long Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz. As a Bee City USA affiliate, the City of Grapevine is dedicated to increasing the pollinator population and habitats. During the month of September, participants will find and document pollinator-friendly plants and pollinators using the iNaturalist app on your smartphone. iNaturalist shares your findings with local and global scientific data repositories to assist scientists with preserving and building the world pollinator population. The registrant that makes the most observations in September will receive a $50 gift card to The REC.
Intro to Fly Fishing - October 3, 10, 17 & 24
This introductory course will take the most novice fishing enthusiast and turn them into a seasoned fly fisherman. Join us this fall and learn this systematic curriculum from an expert instructor. Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant – September 5 – October 3
The Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant provides funding for litter prevention, waste reduction, and/or beautification projects. Your school, business, or organization may receive up to $3,000 to assist with your project. Examples of previous projects include the purchase of water bottle filling stations, trash carts, and landscape improvements. Applications will be accepted from September 5 through October 3 for the Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant program, sponsored by Sam Pack’s Five Star Subaru-Grapevine. Historical Walking Tour – Thursday, September 1 – Saturday, October 29
Grapevine’s Historic Main Street District is the oldest settlement in Tarrant County, originating under the Lone Star flag of the Republic of Texas in 1844, a year before Texas was annexed by the United States of America. Come stroll through time, learn and explore on a guided tour of Grapevine’s history and heritage. Our visitor concierge guides will take you on a guided 90-minute journey including stops on Historic Main Street, Grapevine Vintage Railroad District and the Settlement to City Museums to name a few.
