Donate Blood & Receive a Beach Towel
When you donate blood with Carter BloodCare (CBC), your blood goes to a fellow Texan in need. One in three people will need a blood transfusion in their lifetime. Every two seconds someone in the US needs blood and/or platelets. A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 units of blood. Summer is the most challenging time for CBC to meet hospital needs. Please register (below) to donate at one of the following locations:
Thursday, July 7 – City Hall (back parking lot) | 8 am – 12 pm) – Register at bit.ly/3RaXwh4. Thursday, July 7 – Public Library (parking lot) | 2 – 5 pm) – Register at bit.ly/3uorhBl.

Parks and Recreation Month
This July, we celebrate National Parks and Recreation month with the National Recreation and Park Association. Parks are at the center of so many experiences and memories and “We Rise Up for Parks and Recreation!” Parks are places to gather with friends and family, spaces to celebrate life’s special moments, and so much more. We will be highlighting all the ways our communities are stronger, more vibrant, and more resilient because of parks and recreation and the people who work in the industry. We encourage our community to use #RiseUpJuly and #GoGrapevine to tell their story about what makes Grapevine Parks and Recreation so special. Stories submitted by July 19 will be reviewed and may be featured in their upcoming Fall GoGrapevine Magazine. The Parks and Recreation team look forward to sharing your stories. Visit Tell us YOUR story form and share with them and/or tag them on social media @GoGrapevine.
