Planes, Trains and Automobiles – Friday, June 3 – Friday, August 12
The Planes, Trains and Automobiles package, combining Grapevine Main Station and an Observation Tower Tour, offers participants a chance to watch and learn about the airplanes taking off from DFW International Airport. A stroll through the 1888 CottonBelt Train Depot and a one-hour ride on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad will follow. Participants will then take a chartered ride on the Grapevine Visitors Shuttle down Historic Main Street to Founders' Plaza Airport Observation Area at DFW International Airport runway to watch aircraft from around the world take off and land, followed by a shuttle ride back to Grapevine Main Station. Calling all dads and sons! Have fun participating in favorite field day activities from Dad’s childhood? This event will allow an opportunity to pass down those memories to your sons at the annual Father-Son Field Day. This throwback event will include all the traditional activities to watch, play, and experience together - with a TWIST! Fathers may participate with up to three sons (ages three years and older). Pie Making with a Pro – Monday, June 6
Learn to make and bake a pie from scratch with Judy Balunda, owner of Judy Pie on Main Street in Grapevine. During this two-hour class, Judy will teach you how to make her famous banana pudding pie from scratch. She will begin with making the perfect pie crust and add the scrumptious filling. Upon completion of this class, attendees will be able to say they know how to make a pie from scratch. As an added bonus, you will get to sample freshly baked, perfect pies at the end of class and take a pie home.

During this unique, award-winning event, participants will have the opportunity to play detective and roam through the gardens to figure out the real culprit. Each scene and clue stumbled upon will bring you closer to uncovering the truth. There will be two plot lines to choose from, Fidget PI, for families of all ages, and “Take a Chance”, for ages 13 years and older.
