Chicken N Pickle Groundbreaking - OPENING LATE DECEMBER 2022
Today, Mayor William D. Tate, and City Council members celebrated the official groundbreaking for the Grapevine Chicken N Pickle. Chicken N Pickle is an indoor/outdoor entertainment complex that will include a casual, chef-driven restaurant and sports bar, pickleball courts, and a variety of yard games. Once opened, Grapevine will be home to the largest Chicken N Pickle to date! Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America and Chicken N Pickle will offer a beginner's clinic and private and semi-private lessons where their pickleball pros will take you through the basics of how the game is played and how to keep score. Guests will have access to a menu filled with locally sourced food items, providing additive-free, low-carbon-footprint, delicious menu items. Known for their wood-fired rotisserie chicken, pulled pork and grass-fed beef sandwiches, creative salads, and hand-cut fries, there’s something for everyone! This unique entertainment hub is scheduled to open in late December of 2022 at 4600 Merlot Avenue.
Drug Take-Back and Data Shredding – This Saturday, April 30
The Grapevine Police Department will be collecting unwanted and expired prescription medications in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Agency in the front parking lot of the Public Safety Building located at 1007 Ira E. Woods Avenue. The purpose of Drug Take-Back is to reduce prescription drug abuse and accidental overdoses in the United States by eliminating the unnecessary storage of these unwanted and expired medications. The majority of prescription drug abusers say they get their drugs from friends and family, including from the home medicine cabinet. Drug Take-Back is a unique opportunity for Americans to protect their homes and medicine cabinets from theft and abuse.
Complimentary on-site data shredding services will also be available at this event. Data shredding offers a safe way to dispose of any unwanted documents aiding in minimizing potential identity theft.
