Trash Service Modification Notice
In order for Republic Services’ staff to attend the funeral of one of their team members who was recently lost on duty in Grapevine, trash and recycling schedules will shift one day this week.
This week only - the week of January 10, all residential trash and recyclable collection will shift by one day. For the remainder of the week, Wednesday service will push to Thursday, Thursday to Friday, and Friday to Saturday. Additionally, bulk and brush services normally collected on Wednesday will be collected on Thursday.

For those in need of assistance with rent or utilities, Tarrant County can help! Tarrant County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program still has rent and utility assistance available for area residents who live in Tarrant County (excluding Arlington and Fort Worth). Upcoming Oncor Work - January 12 - 22
Oncor Electric and their contractor, Southeast Power will be conducting a fiber optic installation on Oncor’s transmission line from Kimball Avenue to Texan Trail, which includes a large portion along the TEXRail corridor. This work has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 12 through Saturday, January 22. Due to the physical size restraints of the work area, Oncor will be utilizing a helicopter to shuttle both linemen and materials to the top of the poles. Intermittent roadway lane and sidewalk closures will be conducted during these project dates. A flight path map for this project may be viewed at bit.ly/3HXLzWr.

Spring Adult Softball – Registration Now Open

The REC staff is challenging their members to swim or walk around the lazy river at The REC 100k (62.1 miles) times in January. Participants will receive a log to track distance along the way and earn prizes after completing milestones (25K, 50K, etc.). All who complete the challenge will receive a free challenge t-shirt.
