  2. Live @ the Library: Percussionist Mark Shelton

    September 7, 2019, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Grapevine Public Library

There’s no percussion soloist like Mark Shelton and there’s no percussion show like Music from my Galaxy. The one-man concert can include performances on marimba, hammered dulcimer, handpan, bodhran, bones, cajon, and electronic percussion. Original compositions, arrangements, and improvisations draw from his experiences in classical, jazz, folk, and popular music. The high energy performances are balanced with a good dose of anecdotes from Mark’s rural West Tennessee roots and his years as a freelance musician. Thank you to the Friends of the Library for sponsoring this event. All are welcome.
