[ARCHIVED] Training Advisory

back of two police officers

The Grapevine Police Department, in partnership with various regional law enforcement agencies and school districts, will be conducting training on several school campuses in the following weeks.

Neighbors may notice a high police and fire presence around schools during these training events. Planned exercises involve both classroom instruction and scenario-based responses to critical incidents, including an active shooter training.

A "Police Training" sign will be posted on school campuses during the trainings. We ask everyone in our community to share the word of the trainings so neighbors do not become alarmed, and our dispatchers are available to answer emergency 9-1-1 calls.

Our officers and public safety partners train throughout the year in various disciplines. These scheduled trainings, on school campuses, are just one way we can ensure we are prepared to quickly respond, stop threats and protect our community.

We want to thank all of our education and law enforcement partners for allowing us on campuses to train in Grapevine, Euless and Bedford. All of the trainings will be completed before students return to school in August.
