Kick-off International Games Week at the Grapevine Public Library and join us for an all-day, open house celebration of the brand new Esports Academy! The event kicks off Saturday, November 6 at 10:30 am as the doors open for the first time for open gaming, guided tours, workshops, competition, live podcasts, and more!

Open gaming begins at 10:30 am along with scheduled events throughout the day.

MAP Esports Podcast Network will broadcast live from the Local History Room to share inside stories of the world of esports and gaming, and how you can get involved in this growing academic and business field.

Don’t miss workshops hosted by the crew from MAP Esports Network at 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm in the Esports Academy/Create It space, as they discuss the many opportunities available to those participating in esports, including academic scholarship opportunities and the ability to learn new professional skills and get involved in the growing esports industry.

Esports Stadium Arlington will be hosting a Super Smash Bros. tournament in the library program room kicking off at 1 pm. Will you be the first Esports Academy Smash Bros. champion?

Prizes for tournament winners and Esports Academy swag will be available while supplies last.

The Esports Academy is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act.
